Join us for an exhilarating experience in our 5K road race, 8-mile trail run, or half marathon trail run. Each race promises stunning vistas, with all routes culminating in a memorable finish—running across the iconic Royal Gorge Bridge.
But the impact extends beyond the racecourse. By participating, you're supporting a noble cause. All proceeds from the event directly benefit Starpoint, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vital services to adults with cognitive and physical disabilities, along with children and their families.

5K Run - Our 5K course runs throughout the foothills just north of the Royal Gorge Bridge. The scenery is magnificent throughout. It is common to see registered runners stop to take photos during the races. The courses offer a good challenge with some a few hills. But not to worry, both races end on a thrilling downhill run towards the Royal Gorge Bridge. Runners will then make their way across the Royal Gorge Bridge toward the finish line. An epic undertaking!
8-Mile Trail Run - In 2022 we hosted an inaugural 8-ish Mile Trail Run and it was a hit! We are thrilled that you are thinking about taking this journey with us… For this race, runners will take off from the same start as the 5K (main parking lot). Runners will run about .7 miles before reaching the trail, Twisted Cistern. Trail runners will travel 1.6 miles on Twisted Cistern, then make their way onto Made in the Shade for a 3.1-mile loop. After the loop, runners make their way up Twisted Cistern and towards the Royal Gorge Bridge where they will run across to the finish. This race will be capped at 200 runners. ***
Half Marathon Trail Run - With stunning views and spectacular scenery, we hope that you will join us for one of the most beautiful half-marathons in Colorado. With just the right amount of challenge and fun rolling hills, this is a course that you’re sure to enjoy - a half-marathoner dream, come actual run! This race will be capped at 200 runners. ***
*** Please be advised, within the guidelines of a newly established Trails Committee for the City of Canon City, if there is heavy rain or snowstorm, the City of Canon City will have the final say in canceling this portion of the event to protect our trails. In the unlikely event that this should occur, registrants will be given the option to run an 8-mile dirt road course, utilizing the 10K course from our previous years.
FREE KIDS RACE - This is free for any child who has a parent registered for an event. This year's theme is MONSTER DASH! Costumes are encouraged. Please note: you have to register your kiddos for this event. Waivers will be available on race day.

- All kids that participate in the free kid's race will get into the Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience for just $5 with proof of registration.
- All registered runners will receive a 50% discount on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad race weekend! Make a weekend of it! The train ride goes under the Royal Gorge Bridge. You can look up and say to yourself, "I ran across that!" All advanced reservations must be made by phone at (719) 276-4000. They will be expecting your call. Book it fast as it may fill up. Please note that this is limited to coach, deluxe, or dome seating.
- Family Members receive a $10 discount for Royal Gorge Bridge & Park Admission on the morning of the event.

Fremont Search and Rescue is 501(c)3 non-profit all-volunteer organization that is dispatched through the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office. We are available for search and rescue operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and we NEVER charge for our services. The Rim to Rim Royal Gorge Race committee is so thankful for helping to keep our runners safe while they make their way through the stunning Royal Gorge trails.

The Rim to Rim Royal Gorge Races partners with Ainsley's Angels. The mission of Ainsley's Angels is to build awareness about the importance of inclusion, through action, while transforming populations into all-inclusive communities. Ainsley's Angels ensures that everyone can experience endurance racing events. On the course this year, you'll see some very special individuals being assisted by their friends and family.
