We've got more than a few reasons to turn your race day into a vacation weekend! Once you finish your race, and spend some time exploring the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, head back toward Cañon City for some other family fun activities.

Leaf Peeping
Cañon City is also a great jumping-off point for various locations that are perfect for leaf-peeping this time of year. We highly recommend Cripple Creek, Bishops Castle, and Lake Isabelle.

Ride the Royal Gorge Route Railroad - See the bridge from the bottom of the Gorge! To make advance reservations, please forward your race registration to [email protected] before you call (1-888-724-5748).  Remember, registered runners receive a 50% discount during race weekend.  Don't delay as this may fill up.

For food options, Cañon City boasts a range of eateries including Pizza Madness and Canon City MUGS, both proud sponsors of Rim to Rim.

Additionally, you can enjoy Italian cuisine at DiRito's Italian Restaurant, authentic Mexican flavors at Los Compas and El Caporal, or a classic American fare at Big Burger World. If you're in Florence, don't miss the steaks at Quincy's Steakhouse or the cozy atmosphere of Two Sisters Cafe.
